Outrage: BC RCMP’s “It Gets Better” video

ChristianGovernance eletter – November 15, 2012

There was huge media coverage last week for the news that British Columbia members of Canada’s national police force, the RCMP, aligned themselves with a project birthed in the heart and mind of a vicious anti-constitutional (discrimination on the basis of religion) mouthpiece of hatred and bigotry against Christians.

OK, that’s not how the media reported it. One of the headlines was: “B.C. gay, lesbian Mounties release ‘It Gets Better’ video”.

The “It Gets Better” project was the brainchild of the degrading homosexualist sex columnist, Dan Savage, who is renowned for his militant hostility to Christianity. He is the homosexualist equivalent of the “God Hates Fags” group in the U.S.

We have reported on this more than once, with links to the pertinent stories (e.g., here and here).

“It Gets Better” is supposed to combat bullying. There are other programs for fighting bullying. Opposition to bullying does not require a person to affiliate with the “It Gets Better” project.

The difference between America’s “God Hates Fags” group and Dan Savage is that affiliating with the work of the homosexual movement’s “God Hates Fags” personality makes you popular, not a pariah. Even if a politician or other public figure carelessly affiliated with something sponsored by the “God Hates Fags” group, he wouldn’t be forgiven. He would probably have to resign. These cops say they recorded the video to encourage youth who are victims of bullying. The fact is that there are other means to this end. It is inexcusable for these government agents to have aligned themselves with Dan Savage’s movement. They have demonstrated a gross lack of judgment. They have betrayed the public trust. Heads should roll. They can’t be trusted.

It’s impossible for a rational Christian to have confidence that politicians or police officers will treat them fairly – with justice – if they are willing to align themselves with a militant hate-mongering personality and his agenda. Christians can have no confidence in equal treatment before the law from hate-tolerating or hate-embracing police officers. Christians especially should keep video-capable cameras on them at all times, preferably ones that use wireless technology to record directly to an offsite location in case of confiscation of their recording device. In Canada photographing the police is legal and Christians should take advantage of every legal means to protect themselves from discriminatory government agents.

Homosexualism has been elevated to such a prominent, prestigious, powerful and preferential position in modern society. Also, there seem to be so many rage-fuelled, hateful people with influence in the movement – that it’s enemies need to be ever more careful regarding their safety and personal security (e.g., here and here and here and here and here).

Homosexualist spokesmen like to try to blame Christianity for almost every “hate crime” incident that takes place, and newspapers publish these slurs though no factual basis is provided for their insinuations. Most, if not all, of those in Canada who assault homosexuals and their property are not Christians and don’t attend churches. We have had a challenge out there for probably five years or more now for somebody to produce the name of one practicing Christian among all those who have been found guilty of assaulting someone because of their “sexual orientation.” So far we have received not one response to this challenge. Why would homosexualists and their fellow travelers continue to perpetuate this fraud and dishonesty against Christians? Maybe it is to delegitimize and dehumanize us in the minds of people so that, when they persecute us, criminalize us and abuse us, nobody will stand up against this injustice?

When people look back on history, “It Gets Better” will be seen as a pro-bullying strategy – because of how it leveraged sentiment against Christians. Correctly understood, it is a homosexualist advocacy project, not an anti-bullying project. British Columbians should raise their voices against the RCMP officers’ participation in this offensive, discriminatory campaign.
