Critics of our commentary against the BC RCMP “It Gets Better” video can’t make rational arguments

November 30, 2012

From ChristianGovernance eletter, November 28, 2012

We understated Dan Savage’s terroristic spirit against Christians in our recent commentary on the BC RCMP “It Gets Better” video.

November 30, 2012

From ChristianGovernance eletter, November 28, 2012

ChristianGovernance is excited to begin reporting on the plans for our third annual Biblical worldview event. It’s taking place, Lord willing, on April 20th, 2013 @ the same Ottawa location as last year: the banquet hall of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, 5338 Bank St.

CBC abuses woman on “The Current”

November 26, 2012

From: ChristianGovernance eletter – November 23, 2012

At the top of the list of news links in the right-hand column is a link to a CBC report on home schooling. The initial interviews were standard fare. One should expect the host to express the state-ist, human rights perspective that she did. In this case, it wasn’t challenged as effectively as it could have been.

Christian worldview progress requires strong commitment to the Church and Christian relationships

November 26, 2012

From ChristianGovernance eletter, November 23, 2012

Last year, NCFIC held a conference on “Gospel-Centered Marriages for a Glorious Church.” The excellent line-up of speakers included home school leader, Kevin Swanson. In his first talk, he emphasized that relationships are just as important as theology and issues. In that context, he talked about the importance of building and nurturing relationships among Christians.

It’s remarkable how much Christians expect from non-Christians!

ChristianGovernance eletter – November 15, 2012

Focus on the Family head, Jim Daly, seems to be a really nice guy, but the interests of the Church and society are not advanced by naivity. Note the story below with Mr. Daly’s comments, followed by our analysis.

Acts 19 – The Power of Antithesis

November 15, 2012

ChristianGovernance eletter – November 15, 2012

Many Christians in positions of influence today, and many other Christians, seem preoccupied with strategies to build networks and linkages with the adherents of other religions.

This is different from the building of ordinary relationships. The latter is a good thing and the normative way to build opportunities for evangelism as well as to build civilization. The latter is problematic, and quite different from the example left for us by Paul in Acts 19.

Inflammatory pro-abort MP smears Linda Gibbons and Mary Wagner

November 15, 2012

ChristianGovernance eletter – November 15, 2012

If this Member of Parliament had made this comment outside of the protection of the House of Commons, she could probably have been sued for libel or slander. Note the bolded text below. The capacity for dishonest extremist rhetoric among pro-aborts is remarkable. As a Manitoba MP, she probably has nightmares about sharing the representation of the province with serious pro-lifers like Rod Bruinooge, Candice Bergen and Lawrence Toet, but I’m sure they are praying for her.

Outrage: BC RCMP’s “It Gets Better” video

November 15, 2012

ChristianGovernance eletter – November 15, 2012

There was huge media coverage last week for the news that British Columbia members of Canada’s national police force, the RCMP, aligned themselves with a project birthed in the heart and mind of a vicious anti-constitutional (discrimination on the basis of religion) mouthpiece of hatred and bigotry against Christians.
