“The Current” Holocaust Deniers: Rod Taylor

By Rod Taylor

On a recent CBC podcast of “The Current” with Anna Maria Tremonti, I listened to her rabid attack on home-schoolers, followed by a CBC-produced “skit” that further exposed this identifiable group to hatred and contempt.

Ms. Tremonti was conducting “interviews” (heavily weighted with her own bias) around the recent announcement that Alberta had agreed to drop the contentious inclusion of Human Rights legislation in its approach to home-schooling in the province.

Headline Mischaracterized Pastor’s Position on Homeschooling

Last week we distributed our response to a column written by Senior Pastor Tom Stein of Christ Presbyterian Church in Richmond, Indiana. We entitled the article “Response to Outrageous Attack on Homeschooling.” The implication of the title is that Pastor Stein is opposed to homeschooling and is therefore, on the attack against homeschooling. This is a misrepresentation of Pastor Stein’s position on homeschooling, and we publicly apologize to Pastor Stein for this mischaracterization.

Critical Victory over Child Abuse Reporting Legislation

Note: This article appears courtesy of Family Protection Ministries.

AB 2380, as originally written, contained a new provision that would have dangerously added “hearsay” to current child abuse reporting laws as a basis for reporting allegations of child abuse. This provision would have caused a large increase in your chances of being falsely accused of child abuse.

Home-schooling: Rising statistics
BY Weslie Swift

In 2008 more than 2 million U.S. students were home-schooled. This most recent poll, provided by the National Home Education Research Institute (NHERI) proves that since 2003 the number of home-schooled students has more than doubled. The National Household Education Surveys, NHES, says 850,000 students were home-schooled in 2003. In fact, home-schooling is steadily increasing at a rate of 15 percent per year.
