Homosexual parenting fuels tyranny

“Court orders former B.C. lesbian couple to divide left-over sperm”

Perhaps the greatest fraud in the multi-decade campaign to normalize homosexual parenting and domestic relationships is the notion that this libertine ethic is consistent with the view that the state has no business in the bedrooms of the nation. This claim is false and dishonest in at least two ways, and despite the transparent dishonesty of these claims, social conservatives have, for some reason, been very muted in challenging activists on these points.

Firstly, it’s a dishonest claim because the objections to normalizing homosexuality made by those with a Christian ethical framework have little if anything to do with private bedroom behaviour. The objections have to do with the public display of homosexual sexual behaviour.

Secondly – and this is the point we see in the referenced article – the state has to get much more involved in domestic relationships that aren’t biological intact families. The intact biological family does not need to be micro-managed by the state. But other arrangements do need different levels of intervention and micro-managing. This court case illustrates the fact of this point, in which the state has interfered in the most intimate aspect of domestic relations in making a decision on the allocation of sperm.

ChristianGovernance seems to be almost unique in Canada in repeatedly making the point that the homosexualist agenda is an inherently state-ist, totalitarian agenda. But it’s a transparent argument. The evidence is overwhelming. Sexual license is not part of a freedom agenda. It’s the moral foundation for an oppressive totalitarianism, the brutal censorship of criticism (as we see with today’s human rights tribunals), the elimination of religious liberty in universities and the growing intolerance of today’s humanists.

Homosexual parenting and homosexual “marriage” are state-ist/socialist agendas of oppression. They have nothing to do with freedom and equality. These terms have been redefined and distorted to be used to advance the homosexual political agenda.

Christians urgently need the kind of Biblical worldview training that ChristianGovernance and only a handful of other organizations provide in order to be able to counter these elementary assaults from the enemies of truth and civilization. Our Biblical worldview youth camp is one place where we train people – young adults – to know the truth in an intelligible manner and to understand competing ideas in a way that enables them to dispute these errors in a compelling and respectful way. Check out our WAY Camp website here for info. on this year’s camp, coming up in the Ottawa area from June 18th-22nd.

Court orders former B.C. lesbian couple to divide left-over sperm
By Lori Culbert

A lesbian couple from British Columbia divided all their assets when they broke up in 2006 but forgot about 13 tubes of sperm that were being stored in a sperm bank. The sperm came from the same male donor, and was used for each of the women to have a baby – the first in 2000, and the second in 2002. The remainder of the donation was forgotten, left in sperm straws in the Genesis Fertility Clinic.

But trouble emerged in 2009, when one of the women, known as J.C.M., met a new partner and wanted to have another baby. J.C.M. asked her former spouse, known as A.N.A., for permission to use the left-over sperm so she and her new spouse could have a baby biologically related to her first child. A.N.A. considered the request carefully, but replied that she would rather the sperm be destroyed.

That prompted J.C.M. to go to court to fight for ownership of the sperm, leading to a judgment released today by B.C. Supreme Court Justice Loryl Russell.

In a decision that is sure to prompt much discussion, Russell ruled that the two women divided their furniture, money and child-rearing duties evenly, and so too should they share the left-over sperm.
