Waving the White Flag
By John Mauldin
For quite some time in this letter I have been making the case that for the eurozone to survive, the European Central Bank would have to print more money than any of us can now imagine. That the sentiment among European leaders was that they were prepared for such a move was clear – except for Germany, which is haunted by fears of a return to the days of the Weimar Republic and hyperinflation. Canada’s militantly pro-abortion media love to report on the slightest evidence of bad behaviour by pro-lifers, but they carefully screen out of their coverage almost all bad behaviour by socialists/liberals. This is the same with homosexual coverage, including the grotesque nudity and sexual explitness at some homosexual events. Read more... (377 words, estimated 1:30 mins reading time)

Even if perhaps 20,000 people came to Parliament Hill yesterday to proclaim a pro-life Canada, to a great many observers, the apparent rejection and imminent defeat of Motion 312 in the House of Commons would seem to herald the end of the abortion debate in Canada. The motion, a modest proposal at best, is Kitchener Centre MP Stephen Woodworth’s earnest initiative to assess if indeed the fetus is a human being or simply protoplasm and a mere appendage to a woman’s body. Yes, obviously this question is all about whether abortion entails the taking of a human life and whether it should enjoy the unrestricted access that it currently does in Canada. Read more... When following a news story, it’s good to go to the experts who can weigh in for accuracy. Thus, when 19,600 prolife marchers converge on Ottawa, any self-respecting news agency would certainly go to a math expert—say the RCMP—to get an accurate count. Their rough guess: 10,000. That’s a good scientific model to follow. I suspect that if the RCMP had failed in their duty, another “unbiased” observer could have been dug up to give an opinion. “Then they suborned witnesses…” comes to mind… Read more... Excerpt from BreakPoint commentary (May 9, 2012), “Cultivating Courage: The First Cardinal Virtue”:
So what is courage? It’s not the absence of fear. Courage is overcoming a natural fear. Courage means saying yes to right action even at risk of pain or loss, just as Chuck did during Watergate. Read more... (160 words, estimated 38 secs reading time)

From a May 9th email form the American Family Association:
As a supporter of the AFA Action Alert, you are making a huge difference. Had you not taken time to get involved, Sears would still be selling pornography today!
After hearing from you, Sears contacted AFA and assured us that going forward, they are updating filtering equipment and enforcing strict guidelines to prevent sexually explicit products being available on their websites. Read more... (143 words, estimated 34 secs reading time)
