Boiling Springs teachers accused of sex with minors Investigation of summer parties leads to charges

Two Boiling Springs teachers are facing charges after deputies say they threw parties for teenagers that involved alcohol, marijuana and sex. Sarah Jane Lindsay, 42, of 438 Maplecroft St., and Audrey Beidleman Grabarkiewicz, 44, of 230 Sandy Drive, were taken into custody by Spartanburg County sheriff’s deputies Monday. Police had been investigating since a parent came forward with a complaint in July.

A Globe and Mail report on American research shows what all loving parents who have not become slaves to “experts” already knew, which is that there are hundreds of thousands of misdiagnoses of ADHD every year. They observe that the youngest children are most likely to be misdiagnosed. This is a terrifying prospect in a province that has just introduced all-day kindergarten. It is naive in the extreme to think that your children are safe in government schools.

Thirty years ago, when I was a young kid, some Ontario public schools were still using “the strap” as a form of corporal punishment. Not my middle class elementary school in mid-town Toronto, mind you. But my friend’s rural elementary school in central Ontario — and I’m sure countless others where the idea of discipline still called to mind leaving the kids shaking in their boots.

College teacher admits tryst

The central Alberta college instructor who had a gay encounter with a student in a Calgary hotel room didn’t check to see if the man was sleeping. Maurice Glen Smith admitted Tuesday he never asked the 23-year-old student if he was awake before performing a sex act on him. Smith faces a single charge of sexual assault.
