I don’t know whether the article below was intentionally fraudulent or whether the author – and the editor – were just ignorant. After talking about British tolerance for homosexuality, it talks about harm experienced by homosexuals. It’s well-known by people who have researched this realm that much of the harm that homosexuals experience is by each other, with disproportionate levels of “domestic violence” among homosexual couples. You hardly ever hear such reports, but the article below actually mentions this problem. It says “Data suggest that lesbian, gay and bisexual people are more likely than average to have experienced sexual assault and domestic violence during their lifetimes.”

A justice of the peace heard a bizarre tale at the bail hearing of a young social worker who appears to have suffered a complete psychotic break after smoking a little marijuana with a friend. A distraught Karyn deJong, 29, covered her face with her hands and wept in the prisoner’s box yesterday as Crown counsel Kim Rogers recounted the events of Sept. 13, and how she came to be charged with forcible entry, sexual assault and attempted murder.

Bipartisan Group Urges Justice Dept. to Employ Prison Rape Standards
Leaders from across the religious, political, and human rights spectrum came together today to petition U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to swiftly enforce rape elimination standards throughout the nation’s prison system. A former restaurant manager is expected to be jailed for sexually exploiting a 14-year-old employee, whom he got pregnant three times. Provincial court Judge Mark Tyndale raised the spectre of a four-year jail term Monday for the 35-year-old Calgarian, who earlier pleaded guilty to the charge.

The central Alberta college instructor who had a gay encounter with a student in a Calgary hotel room didn’t check to see if the man was sleeping. Maurice Glen Smith admitted Tuesday he never asked the 23-year-old student if he was awake before performing a sex act on him. Smith faces a single charge of sexual assault.
