“Rape is God’s will” – Pro-abortion blogger lies to smear pro-life MP

A blogger fraudulently smeared pro-life MP Stephen Woodworth’s name by attributing to him the following statement: “Rape is God’s will. Abortion is not. It’s in The Bible.” This is how many Humanists fight. If you have no qualms about killing innocent unborn babies, what’s a lie here and some deception there?
Stephen Woodworth is the MP who introduced Motion M-312, calling on the central government to strike a committee to examine the question of when a “human being” comes into existence. He’s calling for a largely scientific debate.

What is most interesting, though, is that this Twitter post was “retweeted at least 10,000 times.” According to LifeSiteNews, “Woodworth was bombarded with tweets attacking him over the false quotes, with some denouncing him as a ‘rabid dog’ and a ‘prick’. Among the retweeters was Alberta NDP candidate Aditya Rao.”

In other words, pro-aborts thought the quote was real.

Pro-aborts, who are so inflamed over a perceived threat to the right to kill their unborn babies, do not stop a moment to consider how likely such a statement is to be true. It doesn’t strike them as so over the top that maybe they should fact-check it first.

Pro-death is a polarizing position – and it attracts some of the most unsavoury characters. The man who posted the false quote is  “marijuana activist and pro-abortion blogger Russell Barth,” reports LifeSiteNews. When questioned about the post by a Guelph, Ontario newspaper, he claimed that it was “satire.” He apparently claimed that “his attack on Woodworth is ‘part of the perils of being in public life’.”

Equally as contemptible is the comment from another pro-abortion blogger, Fern Hill. She claimed that “the quote, though false, ‘seems to reflect [Woodworth's] view of the issue.’ She made the charge by claiming that pro-lifers’ opposition to abortion in cases of rape is tantamount to support for rape.”

The hate, the irrationality, the fanaticism that exists at the centre of the pro-abortion movement should marginalize it beyond the fringes of society. When that finally happens, it won’t be soon enough.
