Saskatoon’s favourite atheist ankle-biter strikes again

From ChristianGovernance eletter – December 20, 2012
Saskatoon’s most well-known atheist, Ashu Solo, has seen another opportunity to exploit the tyranny of human rights. Earlier this year, he received some media coverage for a complaint against mayor Don Atchison and Councillor Randy Donauer for a Christian prayer at a municipal volunteer appreciation dinner.
Adults in the real world in a civilized society do not behave that way. Christianity provides a civilized, respectful, discrete, reconciliation-based model for confrontation. (Matthew chapter 18 provides some of this teaching.) Mr. Solo’s behaviour makes one think of the self-centered kindergarten child who prefers to grab, scratch, kick and scream to get his way. Even some atheists publicly condemned this irresponsible move.
But Mr. Solo is undetered. He now has Saskatoon transit buses in his sights because of a Merry Christmas greeting they display. Indicative of how pathetic this man’s antics are is his dishonesty about representing anybody other than his own selfish self.
Mr. Solo is not getting the kind of media coverage he’d prefer. The local media has not sided with him. They don’t seem to have the stomach for infantile atheist bigotry. You can read some of the media coverage at the following links:
No support for Saskatchewan man who wants ‘Merry Christmas’ off buses (this is a great video report by Sun News)
The “Christian-phobic” Saskatoon Star-Phoenix did try to find some silver lining in Mr.Solo’s game, but you know what they say about putting lipstick on a pig, or trying to make a silk purse from a sow’s ear!: Stretch to seek ban on greeting.
Here is a “Freethought” interview of Mr. Solo in which he condemns all those ignorant, irresponsible atheists who disagree with him. It sounds like he wants to be the Muhammad of Atheism.
