Mainstreaming hatred with Dan Savage and “It Gets Better”

Mainstreaming hatred

Dan Savage is the “God Hates Fags” component of the militant homosexual movement. We have previously linked to some of his hate-filled filth and bigoted venom. We won’t do so again here beyond this link.

How many conservatives would get away with aligning themselves with “God Hates Fags” in their work against homosexuality? How many conservatives would want to? How many Christians would want to? None that I know.

Yet, the “God Hates Fags” personality of the homosexual industry has been embraced by mainstream politicians, media personalities and even big business in Canada and the U.S. Homosexuality’s “God Hates Fags” personality is the founder of the supposedly anti-bullying campaign, “It Gets Better,” If the homosexual movement can’t find a civilized way to combat bullying, then that raises questions about how serious they are in addressing such concerns. As the article below indicates, even TD Bank has aligned themselves with this “God Hates Fags” spirit in the homosexual movement.

Perhaps for homosexual activists, they can change the slogan to “God Hates Christians” or “Humanists Hate Marriage.” At any rate, “God Hates Fags” well articulates the spirit of Dan Savage, the personality who founded the activist “It Gets Better” campaign under the guise of combating bullying. We know that if the shoe was on the other foot, Christians and other conservatives would never get away with alignment with such a bigoted, hateful personality.

Recently, the central government took flack for providing funds to MusicAction, “an arms-length organization,” which donated some of that money to a rapper who has released a song glorifying Taliban terrorists in Afghanistan. The Conservative government made a public statement condemning the group’s song and indicating that MusicAction’s contribution to the group does not meet the conditions of funding from the government. The government, therefore, intended to take measures to ensure such a misallocation of funds did not happen again. This is the kind of response we should also expect to Dan Savage and his antics from politicians, businesses and other influential people who, instead, are aligning themselves with his “It Gets Better” campaign.

In the 20 months since it launched, a panoply of individuals and public figures – from President Obama to Star Trek’s Mr. Sulu – have posted videos online as part of the It Gets Better project, to encourage young gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people who may be struggling with their identity. Now the first of Canada’s big five financial institutions has pitched in with its own video.

Toronto-Dominion Bank posted its own “It Gets Better” video featuring chief executive officer Ed Clark and a group of TD employees, last Wednesday. The video began as a project conceived by the employee pride network that exists within the company. Mr. Clark asked if he would be welcome to participate. …

It Gets Better was initiated in September, 2010, by Seattle-based columnist Dan Savage, who writes about sex and relationship issues. …

Since that launch, a number of companies have aligned their brand with the cause, including Nokia, Deloitte and Telus. And it has been used overtly as a marketing tool as well. Last year, Google released an ad promoting its Chrome web browser by showing the evolution of the It Gets Better movement through its use of Google tools such as the search engine and Google-owned video-sharing service YouTube. …
