Teacher faces jail over lesbian affair with pupil, 15
By Martin Evans
A TEACHER is facing jail after admitting having a lesbian affair with one of her pupils.
Louise Yeoman, 29, pleaded guilty to 10 charges relating to a sexual relationship she conducted with 15-year-old girl at her school.
The court heard that the offences took place between December 2008 and March this year while Yeoman was teaching at a secondary school in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, which cannot be named for legal reasons.
Appearing at Leeds Crown Court, Yeoman, who hid her face from view, admitted three charges of engaging in sexual activity with a child, involving touching the girl and two charges of inciting her to engage in sexual activity.
She also pleaded guilty to five charges of engaging in sexual activity with a child while in a position of trust.
It was understood that most of the offences took place at Yeoman’s home in Wakefield. She has since moved to Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
While the charges only related to the period ending in March, it was not clear whether the relationship continued after the girl turned 16.
