Cash-for-schoolwork makes no sense

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is investigating the possibility of paying kids in disadvantaged communities to do well in school. The idea is that students who pass all their classes and perform the normally unexceptional feat of showing up every day for instruction would be rewarded with some extra money. Read more...
