Denver Judge Rules In Favor of National Day of Prayer

Secularists were dealt a decisive blow on Thursday when a Denver judge ruled that a gubernatorial proclamation recognizing the Day of Prayer was not unconstitutional. District Judge R. Michael Mullins ruled the Gov. John Ritter did not violate the state constitution’s religious freedom clause. The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), which has won a similar district-level lawsuit aimed at the National Day of Prayer, said it would appeal Mullins’ decision.  Read more...
