ChristianGovernance is very pleased to reveal our brand new logo. The change-over on our websites should be complete in the next few days
There is quite a bit to the imagery of this logo, so we want to explain what it represents.
From ChristianGovernance eletter (August 22, 2012)
In recent days, I’ve been engaged in some interaction on these pages and elsewhere on the question of how explicit our confession of faith, our confession of the Lordship of Christ, should be when it comes to our public lives. Application to “politics” always seems to be the most controversial area of this discussion.
The ladies will be looking at over 20 danger signs of marrying the wrong guy. This will be based on teaching by a nouthetic counsellor. Nouthetic counselling is an explicitly Biblical model of counselling. Their retreat will be held in upstate New York. The men will be looking at three dangers to young men from J.C. Ryle’s short book, Thoughts for Young Men. One of his chapters deals with five dangers to young men – pride, the love of pleasure, thoughtlessness, contempt of Christianity and the fear of man’s opinion. We will be looking at three of them. Their retreat will be held in Eastern Ontario, west of Ottawa. Stay tuned for more details.

So, somebody tried to shoot up the Family Research Council!
I read an article yesterday which reported on an apparent trend of America being under attack from right-wing terrorists, which the Miami Herald writer also called “white Christian men.”
The views expressed here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official stance of ChristianGovernance.
Following is an initial comment on the new book, “God and Government,” written by Dr. Cornelis Van Dam, a recently retired professor of Old Testament studies from the Canadian Reformed Theological Seminary in Hamilton, Ontario. We will be publishing a review of the book in the days ahead.

Below is a brief excerpt from Leaving God Behind. We expect to be able to send the final proof to the printer next week so they can prepare a draft version of the book for us to approve. It is exciting to be able to make this important work available to Canadians. When we see what God has done in this nation in the past, we will hopefully be inspired to believe God for great things in the future.

It’s rather annoying to see silly headlines like “Religion in retreat, global poll suggests” in today’s papers. The Reuters story begins: “Traditionally Catholic Ireland has registered almost the steepest drop worldwide in people calling themselves religious in a new survey tracking international trends in faith and atheism in recent years.”
