That’s a characteristic of fascism – the state lets you keep your property, but it commandeers the use of it through regulation and legislation. That’s what today’s human rights legislation does. That’s what is achieved by today’s growing human rights notion that businesses must comply with government ethics because they serve the “public”.

A heterosexual British couple is challenging the law on civil partnerships after an application was turned down. At present, only gay couples are eligible. Ian Goggin, 21, and Kristin Skarsholt, 22, who are Quakers and live in Bristol, western England, said they wanted the security and stability of a legal commitment without having to get married, the BBC reported. They are among eight couples – four heterosexual, four gay – taking their case to the courts, arguing the law is discriminatory.

LONDON – Tom Freeman and Katherine Doyle are in love and want to tie the knot – but they don’t want to get married. The 26-year-old Londoners think they should be allowed to have a civil partnership, a form of legal union available in Britain only to same-sex couples.
Every honest Canadian knows that there is fault in divorce and that the party that is victim to the one who wants to break his contract/covenant deserves redress. No fault divorce is one of the cruelest schemes ever foisted on people by a corrupt government. In an attempt to introduce some measure of redress for fault, people are now experimenting with a bizarre product called divorce insurance.

Taiwan woman ‘marries’ herself
TAIPEI (AFP) – A Taiwanese woman said Sunday she had “married” herself by throwing a wedding banquet. The 30-year-old Chen Wei-yi, who has been an Internet sensation since announcing her “wedding” plans last month, held the ceremony in a Taipei hotel Saturday witnessed by 30 relatives and friends.
