There is no easy way out of the fix we’re in. …
Second, take responsibility for your own life. Pay for your children’s education. Don’t ask me or your neighbors to pay for it. This is the first test to see if you value liberty over security. There are residual benefits. Your children won’t be turned into State-loving Socialists, and we may be able to shut down the government school system and the oppressive bureaucracy that goes with it. Hitler Targets Education Eliminates Religious Instruction for Children:
Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler’s picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn’t pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles, and had physical education. We have posted a new ChristianGovernance video commentary here. It is another commentary on the abusive nature of government schools.
A Globe and Mail report on American research shows what all loving parents who have not become slaves to “experts” already knew, which is that there are hundreds of thousands of misdiagnoses of ADHD every year. They observe that the youngest children are most likely to be misdiagnosed. This is a terrifying prospect in a province that has just introduced all-day kindergarten. It is naive in the extreme to think that your children are safe in government schools. Read more... (125 words, estimated 30 secs reading time)

Freedom to fail: New Ontario guidelines let teachers give zero credit for zero work. What a concept
By Marni Soupcoff
Thirty years ago, when I was a young kid, some Ontario public schools were still using “the strap” as a form of corporal punishment. Not my middle class elementary school in mid-town Toronto, mind you. But my friend’s rural elementary school in central Ontario — and I’m sure countless others where the idea of discipline still called to mind leaving the kids shaking in their boots. Read more... Bill 44: Parental rights measure welcomed and feared
By Renata D’aliesio
CALGARY – Calgary mother Maria Doll thinks schools should mainly stick to teaching the three Rs – reading, writing and arithmetic – and leave lessons on religion and sexuality for parents to lead. With one child nearly finished high school and another about to start Grade 8, there have been times Doll felt educators didn’t properly notify her before these sensitive topics were discussed in the classroom. CHRISTIAN PREACHER CASE ADJOURNED
Colchester Magistrates today agreed to adjourn the case of Christian brother, Paul Shaw, who is accused of a public order offence relating to an election address distributed in Colchester calling – in very moderate language – for a review of whether sodomy and other homosexual acts should remain legal. It turns out that a couple of homosexual men complained to the police, leading to a completely over-the-top seach of Paul’s flat and confiscation of his diaries in June. Read more... I was as shocked as any other respectable Canadian when I saw the reports about the illegal bureaucratic swarming against the rural Ontario Jaworski family.
Oh, wait a second. It wasn’t illegal. The kind of behaviour that makes bureaucrats indistinguishable from mob enforcers is increasingly legal in Ontario… and this country. Read more... (1920 words, estimated 7:41 mins reading time)
