ChristianGovernment.ca is about just that – Christian governance.

We promote Christian governance as the best – the only legitimate – alternative for structuring human society in the world God created.

We deny the notion that there is neutrality in this world. All government is based on a worldview and beliefs about what government is and what it should be. You can have Islamic governance, Humanistic governance, Jewish governance, Hindu governance, etc. And we promote Christian governance.

The only thing that comes to mind for most people when they hear the word government is the civil government or politics. This demonstrates how thoroughly schooled – or indoctrinated – we have become in the socialist ethic.

God has ordained four governments that have their own jurisdictions or spheres of authority: civil government, church government, family or parental government and SELF-GOVERNMENT. In God’s economy, self-government is the starting point and most important aspect of government. It is also the necessary antidote to socialism’s oppressive, centralized and bureaucratized statecraft. If people are willing and able to govern and police themselves, the state can’t justify the kind of meddling we see today, and which is central to the socialist vision.

ChristianGovernance exists to reacquaint Canadians with this Christian ethic of liberty and justice. ChristianGovernance exists to expose Socialism and other prevalent religions and worldviews – e.g., Pantheism and Islam – as the enemies of freedom and equity that they are.

We are fulfilling our mission through apologetics and political education and advocacy.

Our practical apologetics work involves discipleship, teaching and training Christians in what the Biblical worldview looks like and what competing worldviews teach. We advocate Christian education and promote a vision of intergenerational faithfulness for the advancement of the Kingdom of God in Canada.

Too many Christians today have made peace with this creeping humanistic ideology by adopting today’s status quo, which is a soft socialistic ethic. We at ChristianGovernance are confident that most Christians will see the dangers of making peace with Humanism and other tyrannical ideologies when they are presented with a clear alternative. We are teaching Christians a liveable, logically consistent and worldview that is far more compelling than what is offered by today’s competing worldviews, whether Humanism, Pantheism or Islam.

Our political education and advocacy work involves the preparation of Briefs and Recommendations to governments on a variety of issues. We particularly want to speak into the public policy process where we can combat the idolatry and immorality of socialism with a clear Christian message of liberty, equality, decentralization of authority and devolution of power. We will also prepare research papers and press releases and engage in direct communication with politicians to press for the changes we want to see in Canadian law and public policy.

Our political education and advocacy will span all three levels of civil government, but we aim to focus more of our attention on the provincial and municipal levels of government. This is consistent with a decentralized vision of government and it will also fill a vacuum in Christian political engagement, most of which today is focused on the federal government.

Our apologetic and public policy starting point is the Lordship of Christ and the abiding relevance of God’s law for 21st Century Canada.
