The Supreme Court Has Exposed Us to Hatred: Rod Taylor

The ridiculous and shameful ruling this week that deprived Christian social activist Bill Whatcott of his inherent human right to free speech came down with the rattle of chains and the clanging of prison doors. The unanimous ruling took the highest court of biased secular human opinion in Canada two years to deliver. The judgment tells us “what time it is”, as runaway slave Frederick Douglass said of abolitionist John Brown’s ill-fated attempt to free the slaves at Harper’s Ferry, a few short years before hundreds of thousands of Americans would shed their blood for that same noble cause.

Without God, There is NO Rule of Law: Rod Taylor

The Preamble to Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms opens with the statement, “Canada is founded on principles that recognise the supremacy of God and the rule of law”. This foundational statement has been often debated as to its weight in law. There have been moves to have it removed from the Charter. NDP ring thief Svend Robinson was particularly keen to see the reference to God taken out. I guess if there’s no God then the Ten Commandments—including “do not steal” and “do not covet your neighbour’s property”—can be relegated to the bin of archaic suggestions instead of unchanging principles to live by.

THE DOCTOR AND THE DEMOCRAT: Tom Bartlett

There has been a great deal of buzz surrounding the prayer breakfast speech given by Dr. Ben Carson. Much of the enthusiasm related to conservative enthusiasts celebrating how Obama was schooled very publicly as he helplessly looked on. Admittedly, Obama was very uncomfortable and the speaker’s words were an indictment of much of the damage wrought by the Obama administration, but to see this as simply a partisan political attack is to miss the substance of his comments.

Mulcair Attacks Christians as Anti-Canadian: Rod Taylor

From the giddy spires of the NDP Leader’s chair, Mr. Thomas Mulcair has again pontificated against the core values of many Canadians, calling them “un-Canadian”. His predictable partisan outburst was in response to the revelation that a Christian organization performing humanitarian relief work in Uganda was receiving government funding. Crossroads Communications is busy drilling wells and improving hygiene in Uganda and along with the generous support of many Christian donors, also received $544,813 from CIDA for this work. The newspeg to which Mr. Mulcair’s angry accusations were attributed was that this same Crossroads organization had posted on its website its biblically-based position that homosexuality is a “sin” and a “perversion”.

The dogs on the left are salivating: Tom Bartlett

During a discussion on John Moore’s morning radio show, the panel of 3 unanimously cited Sun News Media for hypocrisy for seeking public funding for their fledgling station.  A giddiness filled the air as they cited the hypocrisy of Sun News asking for government funding contrary to their core principles and stated position. Before venturing my opinion, let’s address the left’s hypocrisy on the Sun News issue.

Today’s lesson: Soaking the system: Tom Bartlett

On TVO’s “The Agenda,” Steve Paikin amassed a number of disgruntled teachers who felt they had been unjustly vilified and wanted to air their grievances. As one who has worked in the public sector most of his career, I have been careful not to group all teachers together – thus stressing (as I will here) my sentiments are reserved for the union itself and those who adopt the union position carte blanche. I distinguish between willing cogs in the wheel of corruption as opposed to the workers and clients being rolled over by said wheel. Here’s what the cogs had to say for themselves.

Do we believe in media bias?

A Harley biker is riding by the zoo when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion’s cage.

Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.
