43% of churched young adults drop out of church

ChristianGovernance eletter – June 2, 2012

Only 43% of churched young adults drop out of church. What a relief! Or is it?

The antidote is Biblical worldview. Listen to this:

“But when it comes to choosing and preparing for college, too many students and parents focus on the wrong question. They want to know what the dorms are like or how good the football team is. Is there good food in cafeteria? But, what they really need to ask is, what’s exactly going to happen to my son or daughter? How will this college affect their faith and worldview? Do students here get educated or indoctrinated?”

That comes from John Stonestreet, writing Friday’s Biblical worldview commentary for Chuck Colson’s BreakPoint. Click here to read the complete “Welcome to College” commentary.

It’s concern over this erosion in the Western church that compels us to offer our WAY Camp (Biblical Worldview and Apologetics Youth Camp) and to develop other worldview events and materials. If your child doesn’t attend a WAY Camp before leaving home or entering university, then find another source of Biblical worldview training for him/her. And especially double-down yourself as their parent with intentional worldview discipleship. It could be a matter of life and death.

You can still register for WAY Camp, but be quick: our June 18th start date is rapidly approaching.
